What happens once Hallowe’en is over?
Surely, the restless skeletons, ghouls, and vampires return to sleep for another year, and while the days continue to get shorter, their time under the moon is done.
The goblins head to Santa’s place, reborn as toy-making elves full of cheer and joy.
The pumpkins gain one more day in the sun, reconstituted as pies on the Thanksgiving table, crossing over into a second holiday before other holiday meals dominate.
“Fun size” chocolates? Their shelves become the home of candy canes.
…and the ghosts, discorporate, drift slowly to the ground, becoming Winter’s first freeze.
